My name is Paris-Marae, and I was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. I hold a BAH at Queen's University with a major in Film & Media and a Minor in Environmental Studies. I am now pursuing my MA in Screen Cultures. As a practising artist and filmmaker, my work is driven by feminist perspectives and a commitment to addressing women's issues. My research as an academic is exploring the gendered gaze in the digital sphere by looking at how feminist creatives transform vulnerability into empowerment using Medusa’s image, and her myths.
